Two Day Workshop: Shibori Indigo Dyeing
Discover the magic of indigo and transform your own textiles in this immersive, hands-on Shibori and Indigo Dyeing Workshop led by Kentaro Kojima, artist, educator, natural dyer, and Lead Dyer at Botanical Colors in Seattle.
With years of experience working with indigo and natural dyes, Kentaro brings a deep knowledge of the craft, its traditions, and the endless possibilities of creating pattern through resist. Throughout the workshop, he will guide you through different Shibori techniques, including folding, binding, stitching, and resist methods, before taking your pieces into the indigo vat.
You'll have the opportunity to experiment, watch your textiles transform through layers of blue, and learn directly from an experienced indigo dyer. Bring your own garments or textile pieces and give them a completely new life through indigo.
